Ceremonies

Wedding Ceremonies

A wedding is always an occasion for excitement, accompanied by gaiety, laughter, perhaps a few momentary fears - almost certainly one or two tears.........

I will provide the ceremony of your choice. I will give you a booklet from which to choose your ceremony, and will encourage you to change the words to suit your needs. You may of course choose the words as printed within the booklet without change. You may wish to have family and/or friends participate in your ceremony by way of sharing readings, poems, prayers, singing, ring bearing etc as this will make your day more personal and memorable.

Baby Naming Ceremonies

A Baby Naming is the formal recognition and welcome of a new child into the family, friends and the wider community. Parents have the opportunity to design their own unique ceremony with options made available from my collections. Available options include readings, Guardian/God Parent promises, naming ceremony or Christening, recognition of the involvement of parents, siblings, grandparents and ancestors from other times.

I will provide the ceremony of your choice by providing you with a guide from which to choose or compile your child's ceremony. You may wish to have family and/or friends participate in your child's ceremony by way of sharing readings, poems, prayers, Guardians and or God Parents as this will make the ceremony more personal and memorable.

Commitment Ceremonies

A commitment ceremony is similar to many other kinds of weddings. The difference is that it is a public affirmation of a couple's commitment to one another. Generally, the couple is a lesbian, gay, or transgender couple, and thus are unable to marry under the law. A commitment ceremony may be religious, secular, formal and traditional or loose and unstructured. The makeup of the ceremony will depend on the couple's own preferences. Generally speaking, these are the key elements:

  • Greeting
  • Readings/Music
  • Vows
  • Exchange of Rings
  • Pronouncement of Commitment

This may then be followed by the signing of a suitable certificate to celebrate the occasion, prior to departure to the couples Reception.

Funeral Ceremonies

When you want to say goodbye to a loved one, you need a person who you can trust to present their life, energies and wishes with honesty, care and sensitivity. I have performed many funeral services covering a broad range of ages from 2 days old to 89 years. If you believe that I may be able to assist you in your time of need, please contact me.
